Volunteer at Freshwise!

Freshwise Farms is a full-scale production farm and we rely on our volunteers to help with the day-to-day operations of the farm. Volunteers help us with transplanting, weeding, preparing raised soil beds, watering, harvesting and a variety of other tasks depending on the needs of the farm.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone is welcome to volunteer. If you are under the age of 16, we ask that you come accompanied by an adult chaperone.

When can I come in to volunteer?

We can accommodate volunteers Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 4:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm. If you are interested in scheduling a time to volunteer please email our volunteer coordinator, Emma Rainwater (erainwater@foodlinkny.org). All volunteer shifts must be scheduled in advance and we request that you stay for at least one hour.
