Freshwise Farms, a hydroponic greenhouse, provides the highest quality, pesticide-free greens, year-round. Freshwise is a social enterprise of Foodlink and all profits go to fighting hunger through the Foodlink Foundation.
Hydroponics is the growing of plants without soil. Instead, plants thrive in a solution composed of nutrient rich water. The advantages of hydroponics are top-quality greens with outstanding fresh taste that can be grown year round. We do not use any chemical sprays or pesticides on our produce.
During the warm season, we grow a variety of vegetables in the soil. We use organic farming methods as much as possible and, as in the greenhouse, we do not use any chemical sprays on the crops.
Freshwise Farms, formerly Magin Farms, is located in the town of Penfield. It was the first hydroponic farm of its kind in the Monroe County area.
